I drew inspiration from a few bandana designs I found with a folk art style for this print-making project. I want to emulate this style of organic and funky shapes in my design. I started by sketching a few different layouts, but I was drawn to having one bird flying with plants filling the rest of the space. I took these designs into Illustrator where I finalized the design. Then I printed out the reflected design, traced it onto a rubber block using graphite paper, and carved it. After carving, I inked the design onto different papers using black and red ink.
