Waverider is a conceptual magazine that explores all things surf culture from music and art to bucket-list surf locations. The artists I featured were Sun Room and Ryan Lovelace. Sun Room is an up-and-coming surf rock band, and Ryan is a California-based surfboard shaper. I wanted this magazine to feel like you could read it and be transported to a surf shop in a beach town. I drew lots of inspiration from vintage surf posters. I had a lot of fun getting to establish the direction of the magazine and building each of the spreads.
